Filling the Gap in Care

Helping Hands Ministry, Inc. gets frequent calls from home health care agencies and social workers to meet the medical equipment needs of their patients. Countless numbers of blood pressure cuffs, shower benches, potty chairs, walkers, and wheelchairs have been donated by the ministry to the needy and elderly.

Some of the folks who need these medical items are not insured at all. For those who are, Medicaid will only buy these items once every several years, depending on the item. This is a significant need here at home, and Helping Hands Ministry, Inc. is filling that gap by keeping these items on hand and available to the people who request them.
